Description
The ION Spreader Bar Kite Spectre 2 is a kitesurf spreader bar with a durable aluminum hook, integrated soft padding and a carbon-infused base plate. Flaps on both sides give a more responsive feel and prevent the bar from twisting. Side loops make it easy to put on and off, which is useful for travel. ION developed it over several years, with contributions from over 50 testers and more than 2000 hours of testing. It is used by big air riders such as Andrea Principi, and the hook can be replaced with a webbing slider.
In Tarifa, with levante and poniente winds blowing at beaches such as Los Lances and Valdevaqueros, a spreader bar is the connection point between rider and kite, and is chosen to suit the harness. It comes in sizes 22.0, 25.0, 28.5 and 32.0.
