Description
The Sonar is ION's seat harness for demanding kite foilers who need support and responsiveness at high speed. Like the Radar, it uses a hybrid shell mixing rigid and flexible sections, only lighter.
It runs the Spectre Bar 2 for load distribution and adds a dedicated lumbar pad for extra lower back support. Adjustable webbing links the leg straps to the bar and holds the hook low. You also get a C_30 buckle, HD foam padding, a Neo belt and an integrated Kiteknife multitool.
It comes as a complete set with spreader bar and hook, kite knife and safety leash handle. Sizes 46/XS to 54/XL.
Frequently asked questions
How does the Sonar differ from the Radar?
Both have a hybrid shell, but the Sonar is lighter and adds a lumbar pad plus webbing that keeps the hook low, all aimed at foiling.
Why keep the hook low when foiling?
The adjustable webbing between leg straps and bar locks the hook in a low position, which ION uses for control at speed.
Is it suitable for beginners?
ION targets advanced riders with it. If you are just starting, a simpler seat harness will suit you better.
